The Mechanical Bear and Thunderbird's Wilderness Dream (2017) is a full-scale environment stop-motion short. The film is a played out dream sequence between two characters, Thunderbird and the Mechanical Bear who both inhabit the same space and time in this narrative about connecting with nature. The piece was filmed as a residency project at the Yeah Maybe Gallery in Minneapolis, Minnesota in July of 2017.
Shadow of the Cave Deer (2017)
Shadow of the Cave Deer, 2017 was commissioned for the 2017 Contemporary Sculpture Exhibition at Chesterwood, Stockbridge, MA. The cave deer sculptural diorama is a misplaced and deformed view of nature. The deer are literal interpretations of deer based on cave drawings. The diorama is situated in the forest, acting as both a proxy for nature in nature as well as a misaligned interpretation of the natural experience.
A Merman I Should Turn to Be (2017)
A Merman I Should Turn to Be (2017) is an escapist's apparatus. The walrus form is a mechanical puppet in which the operator goes inside to become a merman. The articulated aluminum skeleton was designed to accommodate one person who would transform the sculpture into a living creature, returning to the sea in search of a life of peace. This piece was originally constructed for Masters of War exhibition at the Albany Center Gallery Albany NY, in the fall of 2017.
Galleon is a continuously evolving sculptural installation and stop-motion sculptural tableau. The narrative of Galleon is the production of a science fiction nature documentary. The documentary explores a post-human earth, where the environment and inhabitants have been designed to substitute nature.

Cormorants and the Whale (2012) is a full scale model of a Right Whale skeleton held aloft by nine cormorants. This piece was originally commissioned for the Arts and Culture Program at the Albany International Airport in Colonie, NY.
American incognitum (2008/2012)
American incognitum (2008,2012) is a full scale reproduction of an American mastodon skeleton accompanied by journals and photo documentation of the excavation in the basement of an unsuspecting homeowner. The documentation reveals the finds and the unfolding of the identity of the remains as the character reconstructs it within his home.
Cephalopod (2014) is a submersible probe designed to record and also be the subject of deepwater exploration. The sculpture was first used in the Rutland marble quarry, going to depths of 100' in the still and dark waters that now fill the cavernous quarry.

American Bison (2012) is a kinetic sketch sculpture combining the form of an American bison skeleton, a suggestion of train lights and a theater scrim that allows the shadow play of the moving skeleton as it is driven by a clanging motor drive system. American Bison is in the collection of the Albany Institute of History and Art, Albany, NY.
H. Coal Harris: Wilderness Hermit (2007-2014)
H. Coal Harris: Wilderness Hermit (2007-2014) is a parallel narrative autobiography. Harris' character produced a number of objects to help his life in the wilderness feel more like home. He produced scientific as well as entertainment devices and kept a journal of daily life which was transcribed to a blog during that time.
